Where is the best place to place your bird house? The ideal location for a birdhouse is about five to ten feet above the ground and facing away from prevailing winds. Additionally, the entry hole should face away from direct sunlight and potential predators.  It's also best if you can attach the birdhouse to something stable such as a tree or pole.
